Abstract Love Poem is a visual testimony to the multi-sensory feelings we may get when we see someone we love. I chose the color palette of pink-red-orange nuances to depict the warmth of such affection, and added the contrasting turquoise thorns as a symbol of the vulnerability that comes with opening up to the other. Abstract Love Poem is an Artwork drawn out of genuine human connection.
To create this Artwork, I took the poem I See You from my book Embraced by Love. I wanted to materialize it in a painting, and did so by playing with acrylic and watercolor paint, calligraphy pens and metallic watercolor pencils.
