The Key to Prayer: The Highest Good of All
This week’s Article dives into the topic of Prayer, and why the Key to Prayer is Praying For The Highest Good of All. I share a personal story that illustrates this fact, a few words from A Miracle Worker I love and admire, and A Prayer For The Highest Good of Humanity. Let’s begin:
A Personal Story: I Had Forgotten To Pray For The Highest Good of All
Those close to me know that I’ve been having a rough time lately due to my 16-year old Dog passing away this month.
I had desired a Dog, so, so much, and 16 years ago, She appeared out of Nowhere, She came running towards me, and jumped into my arms: right at My Heart.
This year, she had visible signs of advanced cancer. My attitude was, no worries Sweetheart, we’ll heal it and you’ll recover. She was getting better. But then, a tick got her. Even tough I had paid attention and did my best to protect her. The protection did not work, and the tick got her and gave her the parasite. After weeks of antibiotics, IV perfusions, pills, she survived the parasite. But her organs were failing. My attitude was, no worries Sweetheart, we’ll re-stabilize the organs. And we’ll still have beautiful healthy days together.
I prayed everyday for a Recovery Miracle. I prayed daily for Her to be healthy again. For more beautiful, healthy days together. Old Age Days, Days when She’d not be able to climb the stairs anymore, and I’d have to carry Her in my arms. But still beautiful.
After She died, I remembered I had forgotten: I had not prayed for the Highest Good of All, which obviously included Her Highest Good, too. I was in denial. I did not want to accept the fact that she would go, and my “Dog Days Would Be Over”. I wanted more healthy, beautiful days with Her. But She had lived her Life, and Death came for Her. And it may be, that this was Our Highest Good.
Praying For The Highest Good Of All
One of the Miracle Workers whose Work I admire and respect tremendously is Gabrielle Bernstein, and when it comes to this Key to Prayer, she says it with so much clarity and lucidity:
The secret to prayer is to forget what you think you need.
When we pray for a specific outcome, we’re assuming that we know what’s right for us and that we have the plan. We’re denying our capacity to have a power greater than ourselves to step in and guide us. We’re denying our connection to the Universe when we pray for what we think we need.
Therefore, the secret is to turn it over. Instead of praying for what you think you need, pray for the highest good for all. Get into alignment with the energy of the Universe and let the Universe show you what is the highest good for you and for all. – Gabrielle Bernstein
A Prayer for Humanity
In conclusion, I’m writing now A Prayer for Humanity in The Form of A Letter:
Dear Brahman,
May We, As Humanity, Remember Our Divinity. May We Be Shown The Highest Good Of All, Day by Day, Moment by Moment, and Act Accordingly. May We Find The Strength to Heal and Change The Patterns that Keep Us Out of Alignment With The Highest Good of All. May Our Thoughts, Words, Emotions and Actions Align With The Highest Good of All.
May It So Be.
Thank You for Your Guidance. Thank You for Your Gifts. Thank You for Your Grace.
With Gratitude,
A.
As always, I hope you’ve enjoyed this Article, and I’d love to hear from you. Write to me whenever you feel the time is right ♡
With Prayers for The Highest Good of All,
P.S. I sometimes catch myself praying that the whole Planet goes through A Course In Miracles, and I even wrote that publicly in Romanian a few weeks ago. I guess I’m just tired of trauma after trauma, of abuse after abuse, of hearing about war devastation and of all these forms of suffering that we inflict upon ourselves. Yet writing this Article, I realize this is also that same kind of prayer as for my Dog. Every Soul has their Own Path and while I know The Matrix of This Planet would definitely be different if we all went through A Course In Miracles, that’s not for me to pray about. I can only Pray For The Highest Good of All. Much Love ♡
